Funeral Club

This is a Club for Zimbabweans in the U.K only. Many are dying and they can not be laid to rest back in Zimbabwe, because the family cannot afford to have the body sent back to Zimbabwe from the U.K. Most of those who die here are the bread winners of the family, so their death means the source of income is gone.

Our aim is to help you and your family in the event of your death. We will help by having your body shipped without any worry on the part of the family back to Zimbabwe for burial. Many families are broken hearted as they never get to say their final farewells and many have found it hard to move on and they end up dying themselves broken hearted (especially parents).

All those who wish to join the Funeral Club will have to sign relevant documents agreeing to terms and conditions of Club. Each member will be sent copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the CIC. We advice you seek legal advice before signing all documents i.e. a lawyer.

You will be required for the first month of joining, to pay the one off payment - JJ Links Adminstration Fees of £50.00 and on top off that the membership fee depending on the category you have chosen.

When you reach 10 years you become a mature member. This means you will no longer pay anything towards the membership to the day you die. You are what we call a Platinum Club Member. The benefits your family receive will depend on how long you have been a member of the Club. All membership will have to be approved by the trustees of JJ Links (Funeral Club for Zimbabweans) CIC (Community Interest Company). We will have 4 categories in our Funeral Club Scheme.

The Bronze Membership

Monthly Fee £50 per month for 7 years

Duration For this membership you only pay £50.00 for 7 years

Bronze Benefits Processing of all documents of deceased body;

Coffin , Embalming of Body;

Sending body to Zimbabwe for burial

Brief Description

This is a basic membership with no funeral expenses paid for. You cannot grow or advance to Silver membership level or other memberships from this basic level. You join and you pay into the club for only 7 years and you are fully covered to the day you die.

The Silver Membership

Monthly Fee £100 per month for 5 years

Duration For this membership you only pay £100.00 for 5 years

Silver Benefits Processing of all documents of deceased body;

Coffin , Embalming of Body;

Sending body to Zimbabwe for burial

Z$ equivalent to £ 1,000.00 for funeral expenses in Zimbabwe

(£ 1 000.00 Funeral Expenses for those who have been members for 3 years and over only)

Brief Description

This is a growing membership with funeral expenses paid for after you have been a member for 3 years. You can grow and become a Platinum member on this membership. You join and pay into the club for only 5 years and you are fully covered. After, the 5 years you can either stop paying into the club and receive the Silver Membership benefits only or you can continue paying into the club and you will be automatically upgraded to the Gold Membership which is the final Membership stage of paying into the Funeral Club.

The Gold Membership

Monthly Fee £100 per month for another 5 years

Duration For this membership you only pay £100.00 for another 5 years

Gold Benefits Processing of all documents of deceased body;

Coffin , Embalming of Body;

Sending body to Zimbabwe for burial

Z$ equivalent to £5,000.00 for funeral expenses in Zimbabwe

Brief Description

This is an upgraded membership scheme. You only become a Gold Member after you have been a Silver member for 5 years. This is the final level of the Funeral Club. After paying in the Gold level for these 5 years you are automatically titled as a Platinum Member. You will no longer be required to pay anything into the Funeral Club to the day you die.

The Platinum Membership

Monthly Fee £0.00

Duration Unlimited

Platinum Benefits Processing of all documents of deceased body;

Coffin , Embalming of Body;

Sending body to Zimbabwe for burial;

Basic Tombstone

Z$ equivalent to £7,000.00 for funeral expenses in Zimbabwe

Brief Description

This is an automatic upgrade membership level. You only become a Platinum Member after you have paid into the Club for 10 years as a Silver and Gold member only. You do not pay anything into the Funeral Club to the day you die.

Before we can assist any family of the deceased we will need the appointed people by the family to register the

death in the

U.K.

When the death certificate is available, we will assist you in all matters, but please be

advised we need the passport of deceased for processing documents. If no passport & or any I.D the body will

not be allowed to leave the U.K and

Zimbabwe

will not allow the body to enter the country because it could be

anyone. The Funeral Club Membership card should be made available as this will speed up many things we

need to confirm.
